Our CQC Report
About Cherry Tree House
A high quality of care is at the core of all Cherry Tree House's values. This extends beyond the residents with continual improvement and investment in the staff and home too. The aims are:
Cherry Tree House opened in 1986 and offers accommodation for 20 residents with access to a quiet lounge, where residents can sit and chat and entertain their visitors. Adjoining is a spacious main lounge / dining room with wall mounted HDTV. This overlooks a large patio and pleasant landscaped gardens.
Each bedroom is single, varying in size and aspect, decorated to a high standard with good quality floor covering and curtains, fitted with TV point, individual thermostatically controlled central heating and call bell system. 14 rooms on the ground floor have en-suite facilities and the 3 rooms upstairs have shower en-suite facilities.
We feel it is important to encourage residents to bring their own small items of furniture and personal effects to personalise their own room.
On the Ground Floor there are 17 bedrooms of which 5 have direct access onto the patio and gardens. There is an assisted bath and 2 shower rooms. Various toilet facilities are within close proximity of all bedrooms and communal areas.
On the First Floor there are 3 bedrooms. This is accessible if needed by stair lift.
Our residents can also enjoy the surroundings of the well planted gardens. The gardens and patio are accessible from the main lounge and 5 bedrooms have doors opening onto the patio and gardens.
Pathways around the garden make it accessible for residents and wheel chairs and the patio areas provide pleasant places to sit on warm summer days.
